05-18-2005 VCG Announces the Release of StaffSuite 4.2 -- Improving Employee Payroll Services and Operational Reporting
ATLANTA, GA -- May 18, 2005 -- VCG is excited to announce the StaffSuite 4.2 release to our clients. The enhancements for this release include payroll and operational reporting functions and are a direct result of the feedback of our customers. You will now have greater ease in handling contingent employee pay functions and access to industry-wide reporting developed in association with American Staffing Association (ASA).
Payroll Enhancements
Three of StaffSuite's new features include contingent employee pay function including:
- Multiple Account/Direct Deposit
- Multiple Pay Frequencies
- Garnishment Tracking and Updating
The multiple account/direct deposit function enables you to split a contingent employee's pay between multiple bank accounts. The user can select from the type of account, multiple banks or even have the money distributed to two separate paycards. Your employee's money can be distributed by a percentage of the total check amount or through a flat dollar amount. Automating this process improves the accuracy and the ease with which you handle your employee's paychecks.
Additionally, StaffSuite 4.2 offers a multiple pay frequencies function enabling you to pay contingent employees daily, weekly, bi-weekly, semi-monthly, quarterly, semi-annually and annually. StaffSuite accurately calculates the different taxing and standard paycheck deductions from a check, no matter how often you pay your employee.
The third enhancement to the employee pay function is the capacity to track and update garnishments from an employee's paycheck. This reduces or eliminates the need for your staff to keep a separate record. All three of these features will save your accounting staff valuable time and effort, while improving service to your contingent employees.

Operational Reporting Enhancements
In addition to the new payroll features within the StaffSuite 4.2 release, VCG has added two new reporting functions:
- 'Secondary Source' Reporting
- Operational Reporting for ASA
VCG recognizes that staffing firms today are often involved in 'secondary source' relationships with their clients and other staffing firms. To help manage these relationships better, StaffSuite 4.2 now includes an automated reporting capability that alerts your staffing service when an invoice has been paid, so that you can in turn pay your secondary source vendor in a timely manner.
The second new reporting feature in StaffSuite 4.2 is an operational reporting function for surveys conducted by ASA. As a charter member of ASA's Technology Advisory Group, VCG developed these reports to assist ASA in gathering staffing industry information so that survey participants can better understand and compare their own operations with those of their peer organizations.
