Single-source software solution aims to increase operational efficiency and profitability in 43 offices in 23 states of Vedior Group division.

ATLANTA, GA July 15, 2003 Acsys, Inc., a member of the Vedior Group of companies with headquarters in Atlanta, GA is pleased to announce the completion of its implementation of a unique fully integrated software solution from VCG Inc., the developer of StaffSuite and WebPAS software solutions for leading staffing companies. The solution, which integrates VCGs WebPAS front-office staffing software with VCGs well-proven legacy TempWare-V application for payroll and billing, enables Acsys Inc. and its sister firm, Accountants Inc., to leverage the two products to improve overall productivity.

Acsys had four separate legacy front office and back office systems that did not allow us to act as a single company, said Lynn Dunn, CIO for Acsys and Accountants Inc. It was a big challenge to reduce overall operational costs and continue to increase sales and growth while on multiple front office systems with no back office integration. We were also experiencing performance problems, vendors going out of business, and applications that really did not meet our business needs. In the Back Office we wished to consolidate our Payroll and Billing processes between our two companies.

With WebPAS, VCG had one of the few applications in the market that supported our business needs, had complete data integrity, used current technology, and provided a migration path for our legacy systems, Dunn says. In addition, by integrating TempWare-Vs functions, we were able to leverage our current VCG back office application for use by both companies.

The solution is a unique one for VCG to deliver, commented Steve Taylor, President of VCG. In working with Acsys to identify ways to meet their business needs, it was apparent that the solid technology and ease of use our WebPAS product would be an ideal migration strategy for their front-office operations from our legacy C-PAS product. However, it was also imperative that their back-office payroll and billing needs be met by a truly robust solution. Our TempWare-V product was fulfilling that need with great success at Accountants Inc. The more we looked at the situation together, integrating the two seemed to offer the best solution for Acsys.

Dunn believes that VCGs knowledge of their business, its operations, and how its legacy products contributed to that business enabled a relatively fast, smooth transition to the new solution. We were able to quickly review our requirements through VCGs Management Planning and basic training process and complete a fit analysis, develop plans, and begin the project. They were flexible enough to change their approach to meet our needs in providing the handoff to technical support through the development and deployment cycles. Once we established roles and responsibilities between the two companies we developed a partnership that helped us in resolving problems, implementing new releases, and looking at how the system best supported our business processes.

Acsys is now building on the strength of VCGs integrated solution according to Dunn. Implementing VCGs WebPAS has allowed us to build a baseline to move forward with and at the same time reduce operational costs. It will allow Acsys to move forward as a single company with standard processes. With our continued partnership with VCG we will be able to support the future growth of the company and the changing needs of the business.
